travel photography | cambridge

the past twelve days in europe were resplendent.

I loved returning to england for the first five days, to some of the same spots as last time, while also stumbling upon new favorites. will & I stayed awake for the drive from heathrow to cambridge, and the fields teeming with yellow & lavender were the perfect prologues to a stunning trip. kings college was unlike anything I had ever seen - the artistry of the stained glass & the ceiling. our tour guide told us they called the stained glass the "poor man's Bible" - each panel tells either a new or old testament story. returning that night for the evensong was a special opportunity to worship in an incredible place.

a highlight of cambridge was discovering michaelhouse cafe. it was a fairly sunny day & then began hailing golf-sized white balls out of nowhere, so we ran into the nearest restaurant we could find. michaelhouse cafe used to be a chapel, with stunning stained glass at every turn. what a sweet start to a trip of adventures.
