on march 28, the new dominions, the oldest co-ed a cappella group at uva, celebrated their 25th anniversary! they were kind enough to allow me into their fun, quirky circle for the day as they laughed, drank, & played at a garden party and then sang incredibly beautifully that evening at the concert. I loved feeling the sense of community with the dozens of alum (or "crusties" as they charmingly call them) who returned to grounds from all over the continent. I knew that they could have spent hours together singing old arrangements & goofing off.
congratulations to the newdos, past & present, for a wonderful concert. you are some of the kindest & most genuine people with whom I've ever had the pleasure of working!
